A fisherman pulled up a hellish-looking fish, with bulging eyes and gums hanging from its mouth, from 3,600 feet under Russian waters, with a photo that left social media users totally shocked.

A terrifying sea creature pulled from 1,100 meters deep has shocked social media users, with one saying the fish appears to have been plucked from hell.

Fisherman and photographer Roman Fedortsov shares all the strange and terrifying things he discovers while fishing in the depths of the sea.

Roman sources cod, haddock and mackerel on commercial trawlers and sometimes fishes up to 3,000 feet below the surface.

But the 39-year-old from Murmansk, Russia, recently decided to go deeper and reeled in a 3,600-foot hellish fish.

“As they say: ‘I would look at you when you are brought to the surface from a depth of 1,100 meters…’” Fedorstov wrote on his Instagram page, which is followed by 650,000 marine creature enthusiasts.

It’s unclear what the fish actually is, but the bulging eyes with yellow irises and bulbous tongue and gums hanging from its mouth certainly inspired awe in Fedorstov fans.

“Are these real rare species we don’t talk about or rare abnormalities due to pollution?” asked a follower, referring to the animal’s strange characteristics.

“That’s terrifying!” added another, while a third said: “I swear, all these strange deep sea creatures look like this because they are closer to hell. Frightening.”

Fedorstov has found some strange things in the depths, including an orange mushroom-shaped creature, an aggressive-looking anglerfish and another catch that looked like a doughnut.

Recently, he brought out another “unusual representative of the underwater world” that was later branded “the banned sex toy” due to its resemblance to an x-rated object.

“And such ‘unusual’ representatives of the underwater world are caught on the trawler…”, he posted on Thursday, April 26.

Accompanying the caption was a video of the capture of it, a bulbous, apricot-colored tubular marine animal with a hole at the bottom.

“The Forbidden Fleshlight,” wrote one commenter, referring to a sex toy used by men, which has a shape similar to the creature.
